About
I am a dedicated and experienced counselor. My journey in mental health began when I was profoundly impacted by the Columbine tragedy. This pivotal event ignited my passion for making a difference in suicide prevention and crisis management. After earning my degree, I became a licensed school counselor in 2004, developing my skills at both elementary and high school levels.
Over the course of 17 years as a high school counselor, I took on a leadership role as the head of the crisis team in a large district in Colorado Springs for 15 of those years. During this time, I adeptly handled challenging situations, including deaths by suicide, violent incidents, and natural disasters, providing vital support to families and the school community. In 2007, I expanded my qualifications by obtaining my Licensed Professional Counselor license.
With 20 years of experience in education behind me, I transitioned to private practice, eager to work with adults and teens facing a variety of challenges. My warmth and understanding create a safe space for clients navigating difficult emotions and experiences, allowing me to make a meaningful impact in their lives.
